Colan and Cristy Wedding
Sat, August 13, 2011
NYC couple, Colan and Cristy, threw tradition out the window for their beautiful, unique, countryside wedding at Cedar Lake Cellars. Every detail of the wedding was completely “Colan and Cristy.” Almost all of the details were hand made by the bride! She’s a D.I.Y. queen! The groomsmen rocked kilts and the bridesmaids got to pick out their own dresses. They were married in a field, with quilts for seating, and rock music for the wedding party and bride’s procession. Cristy memorized her vows… Colan cheated and read them off his iPad. The bride and groom weaved through the venue on a Vespa (a nod to their mode of transportation in NYC and the groom’s nickname.) They had old-fashioned floats instead of a cake and White Castles for late-night snacking! They even had a mechanical bull for the guests to ride!! It was all on their terms, they decided what was important to them and shaped a day full of fun and love…. Colan and Cristy might just be the most original couple we’ve ever met!:)

She entered to Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine!!!

Reading vows from the i-pad!

The rain didn't seem to bother them too much :)

His nickname in Cristy's family is Vespa!

White Castles and root beer floats!

Kate & Richey Wedding

It sure was nice to leave St. Louis’ cold weather for the beautiful Bahamas! This is not the ordinary type of wedding Switzerfilm is used to attending…this was a wedding weekend! With a welcome party containing fire dancers, fireworks at the reception and a sea lion performance at the farewell party-this wedding was anything but typical.
A special thank you to Rachel Durbin and Albertha Edgecomb from Atlantis Weddings!.

Saundra & David Wedding

We’ve been holding on to this gem since November, waiting to release to our wonderful fans! Introducing a Disney Fairytale Wedding, at Disney’s Aulani’s Resort in Hawaii. This resort is absolutely gorgeous; in fact, it’s so gorgeous that even our President, Barack Obama stayed here while we were shooting.
We met with Saundra and David and decided to do a last minute Rock-the-Dress in Maui…we’re so glad we did. We traveled to the top of Mt. Haleakala at 3a.m. to capture the sunrise and then traveled down the Road to Hana to capture some of Hawaii’s most beautiful scenery. We are proud to present one of our favorite destination weddings of the year…enjoy!
